75 Jahre Filmgilde Biel

A project in collaboration with the Filmgilde Biel. The Filmgilde Biel (www.filmgilde.ch) was founded in 1949. Selected films are shown from October to March and the Filmgilde Biel is an integral part of Biel's cultural scene. Members meet week after week at the movie theater. To mark its 75th anniversary, the Filmgilde is doing a poster campaign in Biel. In a competition in the graphic design class in Biel, my design and four other winning posters were selected for display.

I wanted to create a visual room that you can immerse yourself in, just as you can immerse yourself in the movies at the cinema. I did this by creating a room with rolls of film. The font has a glowing radiant effect, which is reminiscent of the glow of the screen in the movie theater and also interacts with the background. Then I used this luminous gray, which is almost silvery, to emphasize the celebration of the 75 years.
